Jesus in Islam (campaign)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jesus in Islam is a network and a campaign by Salafists in Germany. The campaign is assigned to political Salafism.

In 2014 the group did missionary work in the pedestrian zones of Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Hamburg, among others. The network consists of smaller groups of members, most of whom are still students. The members solicit donations from like-minded people in order to stock up on advertising material from the network. The network issues brochures such as “Muslim and Christ in Dialogue”. With these brochures, the Salafists specifically address Christians in pedestrian zones. You use Jesus as a starting point for conversations. First, they positively emphasize the importance of Jesus in Islam as the predecessor of the Prophet Mohammed . In the second stage, the followers of Jesus in Islam tell their counterparts that, contrary to Christian belief , Jesus is not the Son of God . Whoever believes this is committing a grave sin and must suffer eternal torments in the hereafter . The only way out of eternal damnation is therefore to convert to Islam .

background

“They not only want to practice their religion, but also work towards the introduction of strict Islamic Sharia law in Germany,” a spokesman for the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Interior told ARD . The network promotes, among other things, the website of the convert Marcel Krass. He is considered a close companion of the Salafist preacher Pierre Vogel . The teacher Krass was dismissed from school two years ago because of his work in the Salafist scene. He is associated with a Mannheim- based company that organizes pilgrimages to Mecca . In a DVD series, he explains his ideas about the afterlife and the torments of hell that, in his opinion, non-Muslims can expect.

Jesus in Islam also promotes the side of the preacher Neil ibn Radhan. He runs an online Koran school from Heilbronn and interprets the Koran "in an aggressively combative and expansive way" according to the assessment of the Baden-Württemberg State Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

Jesus in Islam is mentioned together with Marcel Krass in the 2015 report on the protection of the constitution of the state of Bavaria and is referred to as a “Salafist missionary project with a focus on the Duisburg area”. The target group are Christians.
