The jetalliance racing is founded in 2006 by Austrian GT -Rennteam, the 2009 with Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 and 2011 with two Lotus Evora GT2 at the 24-hour race at Le Mans participated. The team was founded by Jetalliance owner Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer.

Motorsport history

Between 2006 and 2008 the team fielded two Aston Martin DBR9s in the FIA GT championship . With a vehicle of this type, the Jetalliance Racing Team made one guest start in the Le Mans Series (LMS) at the 1000 km race at Spa-Francorchamps in 2007 and 2009 . In the 2011 season , the team took part with two Lotus Evora GT2s not only in the Le Mans 24-hour race , but also in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) in the GTE class. In addition, the Jetalliance Racing Team was active in the GT4 European Cup and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge . Racing was discontinued in 2012.

Le Mans 24 hour race

For the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2009 , the Aston Martin DBR9 previously used in the FIA GT Championship had to be modified due to regulations. It received a smaller tank, air conditioning, and changes were made to the aerodynamics . At the end of the race, the team with Lukas Lichtner-Hoyer , Thomas Gruber and Alex Müller finished third in the GT1 class, behind one of the two works Corvette C6.R and a customer Corvette from Alphand Aventures .

FIA GT Championship

Between 2006 and 2008 the team achieved a total of seven victories in the FIA GT championship with drivers Karl Wendlinger and Ryan Sharp . In 2007 they took second place in the drivers' standings behind Thomas Biagi from the Vitaphone Racing Team . Jetalliance Racing was third overall in the team classification in 2007 and 2008.
