Yevgeny Yarovenko

Yevgeny Viktorovich Yarovenko ( Russian Евгений Викторович Яровенко , born August 17, 1963 in Qaratau , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Soviet-Kazakh football player and current football coach. He gained greater prominence when he was named Kazakhstan's Golden Player on the 50th anniversary of UEFA .

Jarowenkos first club was Fosforit Karatau (1979-1980), the club of his hometown, from where he moved to Chimik Jambul (1981-1983).

Jarowenko began his professional career in 1983 at Kairat Almaty as a defender. His greatest achievement was winning the gold medal at the soccer tournament of the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul . Other successes were his election as the best left-back of the Soviet Championship in 1987 and the victory of the USSR Federation Cup in 1988 with Kairat against Neftchi. Jarowenko completed a total of nine international games for the Soviet Olympic team and two international games for the Soviet national team .

In 1989, the former sports student left Kazakhstan and went to the Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk . He never played for a club in Kazakhstan again. In the very first season for the Dnipro team, he and his club finished second in the Soviet league, won the Soviet Cup in the final against Torpedo Moscow and became a favorite with the public and the press.

In 1991 Jarowenko moved to the Russian club Rotor Volgograd before returning to Nywa Ternopil in Ukraine in 1992 . He also played briefly at the Finnish FC Kontu , at the ex-club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and in Turkey at Sariyer (1993-1994). After a short interlude with Torpedo Wolschski , he moved to Krywbas Krywyj Rih in 1995 . The last stop of his long active career was in the Ukraine in 1996 with Metalurh Zaporizhia .

Even after the end of his active career, Jarowenko remained loyal to football and coached various Ukrainian club teams. With his ex-club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk he reached third place in the Vyshcha Liha in 2000/01 . From 2006 to 2008 he coached the Kazakh team Yessil Bogatyr Petropawl . In June 2014 Jarowenko took over the post of head coach at FK Taras .
