Evgeni Wladimirowitsch Chwostow ( Russian Евгений Владимирович овостов ; born May 28, 1981 in Surgut , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player and youth coach at HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk .

Career

Yevgeny Chwostow began his career as a hockey player with HK Rubin Tyumen , for whose professional team he was active from 1999 to 2001 in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. The defender then played for five years for their league rivals Dinamo-Energija Yekaterinburg , where he ended the 2005/06 season at Sputnik Nizhny Tagil . He then returned to Yekaterinburg, but played for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg for the next two years .

In the summer of 2008 Chwostow signed with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk from the Vysschaya League, with which he was second division champion in the following two years and in 2010 also rose to the Continental Hockey League . In the 2014/2016 season he was loaned to the second division club Rubin Tyumen . In July 2016, he ended his professional career, but stayed with the club in Khanty-Mansiysk as coach of the Mamonty Jugry youth team , which plays in the MHL .

Chwostov's jersey is pulled under the roof of the hall

As part of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, his jersey with the number 28 was pulled under the roof of the Arena Yugra on March 25, 2017 . He is the club's first player to receive this honor.
