Yevgeny Vladimirovich Luschnikow ( Russian Евгений Владимирович Лушников ; born March 2, 1976 in Chelyabinsk , Soviet Union ) is a Russian handball player . His body length is 2.03 m.

Luschnikow, who plays for the Hungarian club MKB Veszprém (back number 18) and previously played for the Russian national team, is mostly used as a circle runner.

Yevgeny Luzhnikov began playing handball in his hometown of Chelyabinsk. In 1994 he went to Moscow, first to Unist and later to CSKA Moscow. With the latter he won the Russian championship in 2000 and 2001 before the club was renamed Medvedi Chekhov . Luzhnikov won the championship in 2002, 2003 and 2004 before moving abroad to the Hungarian series champion MKB Veszprém in 2004. With the men from Lake Balaton , he won the Hungarian Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2008 and the Hungarian Cup in 2005 and 2007. In 2008 he won the European Cup Winners' Cup with Veszprém .

Yevgeny Luzhnikov has so far played 21 international matches for the Russian national team , but never took part in a major tournament with Russia. Since he moved to Hungary in 2004 against the wishes of Vladimir Maximow , Chekhov's coach and Russian national coach, he has never been called up to the national team.
