The Jezioro Dobczyckie is a reservoir on the river Raba in the Polish Malopolska province . It is in the Beskids .

description

Behind the 30 meters high and about 617 meters long dam the water which is Raba and smaller tributaries dammed. With full back which includes reservoir 127 million cubic meters of water. The towns of Dobczyce , Kornatka , Brzezowa , Droginia , Osieczany , Borzęta , Brzączowice , Zakliczyn , Czechówka and Stojowice are located on the lake .

history

The reservoir was flooded in 1986. It is used both as a bathing lake and as a protective storage against flooding, a hydropower plant and as a drinking water reservoir for Krakow to the north .

Dobczyce Castle is located on the shore of the lake . The lake is partly used as a bathing lake.
