The Jezioro Włocławskie is a reservoir on the Lower Vistula in Torun-Eberswalde glacial valley , in the Polish provinces Mazovia and Kujawy . It is the largest reservoir in Poland.

Behind the dam , the water is Vistula and smaller tributaries dammed. When the reservoir is completely blocked, it contains 408 million m³ of water. The water area is then 70.4 km².

history

The reservoir was built from 1963 and flooded in 1970. It is used as a protective storage facility against flooding, as a hydropower plant and as a drinking water storage facility.

There are numerous marinas and beaches on the shores of the lake.
