Jiří Ondra (born June 7, 1957 in Uherské Hradiště ) is a former Czech football player .

Career

Jiří Ondra played in his youth for Slovácká Slavia Uherské Hradiště , in 1978 he moved to FC Bohemians Prague , although he had already signed a contract with Sparta Prague . At Bohemians, Ondra immediately earned a regular place, in 1982/83 he was one of the most important performers in the championship team.

After 213 league games and 19 goals, the tall left-back moved to First Vienna FC in the Austrian Bundesliga , where he ended his professional career in 1991.

He played for the Austrian third division ASV Hohenau until 1993 and then in lower leagues in the Czech Republic.

From 1999 to 2001 he coached Sokol Libiš, with whom he rose to the fourth Czech league.

National team

In the Czechoslovak national team , Ondra completed 20 games. He made his debut on October 6, 1982 in the game against Sweden , which ended 2-2. He played his last game on May 13, 1987, when the ČSSR lost 2-0 to the GDR in Brandenburg .
