Jibbs (born November 13, 1990 in St. Louis , Missouri ; real name Jovan Campbell ) is an American rapper .
Campbell started rapping at the age of nine. His nationwide breakthrough came in the summer of 2006 when, at the age of 15, his debut single Chain Hang Low rose to number 7 on the US Billboard charts. His debut album, on which he was supported by Chamillionaire among others , came out in autumn 2006 under the title Jibbs feat. Jibbs on the market. So far, around 800,000 copies have been sold. For this success he was awarded a gold record in the USA. For spring 2008 Jibbs has announced his second album Teen King - the first single is called Kaveman and was released in March 2008 in the USA.
