Jigme Wangchuk

Jigme Wangchuk (from Tib . : 'jigs med dbang phyug ; * 1905 ; † March 30, 1952 ) was the second Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan from August 21, 1926 until his death .

He was the eldest son of King Ugyen Wangchuck . During his tenure, Bhutan became almost completely isolated from the rest of the world and had limited relations with Britain . He was succeeded by his son Jigme Dorji Wangchuck .
