Jim Klein

Jim Klein (* before 1971) is a film editor , film director , film producer and documentary filmmaker who was nominated for two Academy Awards.

Life

Jim Klein's film director career began in 1971 when he released his documentary Growing Up Female . In addition to a documentary about methadone and its drug trafficking , he also published the film Union Maids , for which he and Julia Reichert and Miles Mogulescu received a nomination in the category " Best Documentary " at the 1978 Academy Awards . However, the awards went to the makers of Who Are the DeBolts? And Where Did They Get Nineteen Kids? . He received his second nomination at the Oscars in 1984 for Seeing Red . This time, too, the award went to the competition and so Emile Ardolino received the award for his film.

In addition to editing documentaries, he also did this for feature films such as The Dream Catcher - On the Trail of Dreams with Maurice Compte in the leading role or The Speed ​​of Life .
