James Clifford Maki , called Jim Maki (born July 7, 1950 in Grand Rapids , Michigan ) is a retired American ski jumper .

At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , Maki reached 36th place on the large hill.

Maki took part in the Four Hills Tournament in 1976/77 , but remained largely unsuccessful with places between 42nd and 55th. At the Olympic Winter Games in 1980 Maki was again in the US squad and took 26th place on the normal hill.

On February 13, 1981 Maki jumped his only jumping in the ski jumping world cup . In ski flying on the Copper Peak ski jump in Ironwood he reached the 8th place and won 12 World Cup points. At the end of the 1980/81 World Cup season , he finished 52nd overall. Maki then ended his active ski jumping career at the age of 29.
