In the following years he initially concentrated on playing ice hockey - here he also represented AIK in the first division - and gave up playing bandy for a short time, although he had already played for AIK in the first division.

From 1964 he ran again for the football team in the Allsvenskan and was able to earn a regular place two years later. On June 27, 1966 he made his debut in the Swedish national team and scored the Swedish goal in the 1-1 draw against Yugoslavia . In the following years he established himself in the national team and was used eight times by February of the following year. Until 1971 he still played for AIK in the Allsvenskan and was used in 124 first division games and scored nine goals.

After the end of his active career, he took on various coaching positions. First he worked in the youth division of AIK before he took over the reserve team in 1974 and a year later he was in charge of the first division team as assistant to Kurt Liander . This was followed by engagements with IFK Täby (1976-77), Råsunda IS (1978-79) and Ulriksdals SK (1980-81) before he returned to AIK in 1983 as a junior coach.
