Jim Stafford
Jim Stafford (born January 16, 1944 in Eloise , Florida ) is an American country and pop singer .
biography
As a teenager, Jim Stafford played in various bands - among others with Gram Parsons and Kent Lavoie (later " Lobo ") in the Trio Shilo. At that time, the trio was strongly oriented towards the music of the Kingston Trio .
After high school, Stafford went to Nashville . He began to compose songs and recorded first demos.
In 1973 his song The Swamp Witch reached the American Top 40. In 1974 Spiders and Snakes reached number 3 on the pop charts. Further successes followed.
In 1975 he had his first television show for a short time. Over the next few years he composed soundtracks and appeared in other TV shows. Since 1990 he has had his own theater in Branson, where he appears in country shows.
