Jimmy Britt

Jimmy Britt (* 5. October 1879 in San Francisco , USA ; † 12. January 1940 ) was an American boxer in the lightweight .

Professional career

In 1902, Britt made a successful debut with a unanimous victory over Toby Irwin.

On December 20, 1904, Britt boxed Battling Nelson for the linear world title by defeating him over 20 rounds by unanimous decision.

However, he lost this title in September of the following year in the rematch against Nelson on points.

In 1909, Britt ended his career after two bankruptcies against the British Johnny Summers .
