Heinrich Eckert
Heinrich Eckert , Czech Jindřich Eckert , (born April 22, 1833 in Prague ; † February 28, 1905 there ) was a Bohemian photographer .
After training at the Prague Polytechnic , Eckert worked as a customs officer. In 1863 he opened a studio for portrait photography . In addition to portraits, he also created allegorical compositions and tableaux vivants . Today he is best known for his landscape and architectural photographs, which are primarily of documentary value. His work includes numerous collotype prints from Prague, as well as photo collections from the Bohemian Forest and the Giant Mountains .
