Jingle Island is a 2.5 km long island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of Pitt Islands of the Biscoe Islands archipelago , it is 1.5 km northeast of Weller Island .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 were used for mapping purposes by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after Alfred Jingle, a character from the serial novel The Pickwickier (1836-1837) by the British writer Charles Dickens .
