Jirka Letzin
Jirka Letzin (born February 8, 1971 in Neubrandenburg ) is a former German back and position swimmer .
He won his first major title in 1994 at the European Sprint Swimming Championships in 1994 on the short course in Stavanger, Norway, over 50 m back in 25.47 s. At the European Swimming Championships he achieved several second places in individual competitions. He was a member of the German team at the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney and finished 9th in the 400 m individual medley. In 2001 he was the overall World Cup winner over 100, 200 and 400 m medley.
His clubs were from 1977 the BSG Aufbau Neubrandenburg , 1982 SC Empor Rostock , 1992 SG Warnow Rostock and from 1997 SC DHfK Leipzig .
