João Diogo Serpa Meira (born April 30, 1987 in Setúbal ) is a Portuguese football player .

The defender began his career in Vitória Setúbal's second team . In 2007 he moved to the fourth division club Cova Piedade. In 2008 he went to CD Mafra in the third division and in 2009 to Atlético CP . With the club he made it to the Segunda League in 2011 . After a positive doping test , he was banned for eight months in 2012. In the summer of 2012 he moved to league rivals Belenenses Lisbon , with whom he rose to the Primeira Liga in 2013.
