Mary Jo Duffy (born February 9, 1954 ) is an American comic book writer and editor.

Life

Duffy was hired in the 1980s as an editor at the US comic book publisher Marvel Comics , with which she remained associated until the early 1990s. The titles she edited included the Marvel comic series for the movies Star Wars and Conan the Barbarian . In 1990 Duffy also took over the authorship of the popular comic series Wolverine .

For DC Comics , Duffy wrote the first 14 issues of the comic series about the seductive professional thief Catwoman , launched in 1993 , as well as two fill-in issues of the publisher's flagship series, Batman (# 401 and 413). Duffy wrote the Glory series for Image Comics .
