history

Frechholzhausen has around 100 inhabitants and is located between Affing and Derching . The settlement of Frechholzhausen (to the houses of a Frechholt) was first mentioned in 1269 and 1271. In the 14th and 15th centuries, the cathedral chapter and bishopric of Augsburg received taxes from property there. Presumably most of it came under the Friedberg court. The Catholic village chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary dates from 1828. There is a path chapel north and south of Frechholzhausen.
