history

The place Mühlhausen was mentioned in 1130 after a donation to the monastery Sankt Ulrich and Afra Augsburg in Augsburg as Mulehusen (to the houses near the mill) in an old property list of the monastery. In the 12th century there was a castle on the hill above the place that was the property of the Bavarian rulers, whose servants ran the business of the ducal office (officium Mulhausen). Wittelsbach servants from Mühlhausen (mentioned 1146–1217) built the first castle. After the extinction (1284/1287) that of Duke Ludwig II. Mortgaged Marschalke of Schiltberg the Augsburg citizens Konrad Lang got from Wörth until after 1343 the fief and 1420 agriculture or nursing courts managed Friedberg and Aichach the Mühlhausen Office of the Bavarian dukes . In 1388 the castle was burned down in the war between cities.

In April 1464, Margrave Albrecht of Brandenburg marched in the war between the imperial cities against Duke Ludwig IX. against the villages of Mühlhausen, Aulzhausen, Miedering, Anwalting and Gibhofen, it burned down and destroyed the castles in Mühlhausen and Miedering. In 1687 Mühlhausen came into the possession of Hofmark Affing . In 1821, ruins of the castle could still be seen (round towers at the four corners and a ruined building standing on vaults in the middle ).

Around 1958 the land consolidation was carried out in Mühlhausen . Before the district reform , the independent municipality of Mühlhausen belonged to the Friedberg district (FDB) and since the municipal reform that came into force on May 1, 1978, Mühlhausen has belonged to the unified municipality of Affing. Today Mühlhausen has over 1250 inhabitants. The inhabitants speak Bavarian and Swabian dialect variants.
