Bergen is a district of the municipality of Affing in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the Wittelsbacher Land in the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria .

Bergen has around 250 inhabitants and is located on the Lechleite between Mühlhausen and Miedering around two kilometers northeast of Augsburg Airport .

history

Lady Chapel in mountains

Bergen (settlement on the mountain) is mentioned in the Baierischen Salbuch from 1280 as Perge , from which gradient from two farms and one estate flowed to the ducal office Mühlhausen. After the castle in Mühlhausen was abandoned, the farmyard (Sedelhof) of the castle was in Bergen (Hofbauer - opposite the Marienkapelle).
