Chapel of the Visitation

The Catholic Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Frechholzhausen , a district of the Affing community in the Aichach-Friedberg district ( Bavaria ) is a protected architectural monument .

The first chapel was probably built on private property, which can be verified around 1727 and was probably a simple wooden hut. This was enlarged by the villagers themselves in 1758 and 1828. A Way of the Cross was built in the church in 1865. The current building was built in 1878. It is a simple hall building with an entrance tower. The equipment in Nazarenenstil comes with the exception of probably late Gothic Cross also from this period. In the high altar there is a figure of Mary with baby Jesus, on the left of the choir arch Anna is learning to read and on the right St. Joseph.
