Jo Zwaan

Jo Zwaan (actually Johan Gerard Zwaan; born November 11, 1922 in Amsterdam ; † February 5, 2012 in Diemen ) was a Dutch sprinter .

In 1946 he reached the semi-finals at the European Athletics Championships in Oslo over 100 m and was fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

At the Olympic Games in London, he was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run and was sixth in the 4-by-100-meter relay .

In 1948 he was Dutch champion over 100 m. He set his personal best over this distance of 10.6 s in 1943.

His brother Jan Zwaan was successful as a hurdler.
