Joachim Bieber

Joachim Bieber (born April 29, 1950 in Glattbach ) is a German local politician ( CSU ) and was Mayor of Miltenberg from 1990 to 2014 .

Life

Joachim Bieber grew up in Glattbach and passed his Abitur at the Marianum Buxheim . His younger brother Clemens Bieber is cathedral capitular in the diocese of Würzburg . Bieber studied law at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and has been a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Franco-Raetia zu Würzburg in the CV . In 1978 he passed the second state examination in law and in 1978 became an assessor for the government of Lower Franconia . In 1979 he became legal department head at the Miltenberg district office .

Bieber is a Roman Catholic, married and has one son.

politics

On May 1, 1990, Bieber was sworn in as Mayor of Miltenberg. Bieber was confirmed in office in the local elections in 1996, 2002 and 2008. He did not run in the 2014 municipal elections, although he had not yet reached the age limit for civil servants under the Bavarian Civil Service Act. He is a member of the CSU, the Miltenberg district council and the committee for medium-sized cities of the German Association of Cities .

Honorary positions

Bieber is engaged in numerous honorary positions. Among other things, he is chairman of the “Brother Service St. Jakobus” association, vice chairman of the Miltenberg music association and an active member of the Miltenberg town band.
