Joachim Friedrich (Author)

Joachim Friedrich (born August 11, 1953 in Oberhausen ) is a German author for children and young people. He lives in Bottrop in the Ruhr area. After graduating from secondary school, he began training in an office, but quickly found this job boring. After completing his Abitur, he studied economics. After completing his doctorate, he worked for Lufthansa for a few years. He started writing when he was around mid-thirties.

Act

Joachim Friedrich stood out in particular with his long-standing series on 4½ friends , also filmed as 4½ friends , who as the detective agency Kalle and Co. tend to get into embarrassing situations rather than solve one of the cases they suspect. In each of the 19 volumes published so far, one of the five main characters tells the story in the first person.

In addition to the 4½ Friends series, he has also published two independent thrillers for young people.

All of his books have been published by Thienemann Verlag in Stuttgart .
