Joachim Jerichow

Johan Joachim Jerichow (born July 18, 1969 in Hillerød ) is a former Danish basketball player .

Life

Jerichow started his basketball career at club level at the age of 13 with Værløse Basketball Klub. The 2.02 meter tall indoor player played and studied for 1989/90 at Orchard Lake St. Mary's College (US state Michigan ) and from 1992 to 1994 at Chaminade University of Honolulu , in the 1992/93 season he led the university team 14.9 points per encounter.

In 1994 Jerichow returned to his home country and strengthened Værløse in the Danish first division. In 1995/96 he became Danish champion. In 1996 he moved to the Italian Serie A club Mash Verona , played there until 1999 and won the European club competition Korać Cup with the team in 1997/98 . 1999/2000 he was in the same league in the service of Lineltex Imola. 2000/01 he was with the Italian second division club Record Cucine Naples under contract, in May 2001 he tore a cruciate ligament . At the end of his career in 2001/02 Jerichow played in Denmark for BF København.

He wore the shirt of the Danish national team in 75 full international matches.
