Joachim Kümmritz

Joachim Kümmritz (born July 7, 1949 in Berlin ) is a German theater director .

Life

The skilled worker for measurement and control technology completed his studies in economics in 1976 as an engineering economist . Since 1979 Joachim Kümmritz has worked in various positions at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin , including as head of materials management and basic fund economics as well as director of economics and planning. In 1990 he was appointed deputy general manager. From 1993 to 1999 he was managing director, from 1999 general director and from 2000 to 2016 general director and managing director of Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin GmbH, the largest and most popular stage in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . His successor in Schwerin is Lars Tietje .

Since March 2014 Kümmritz has also been employed as managing director and artistic director of Theater und Orchester GmbH Neubrandenburg / Neustrelitz . In 2016 Kümmritz received a two-year contract as director of the Volkstheater in Rostock . At the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Sven Müller in Neubrandenburg / Neustrelitz and Ralph Reichel in Rostock will succeed Kümmritz.
