Joachim Schmolcke

Joachim Schmolcke (born August 16, 1934 in Waase auf Ummanz , † September 6, 2012 in Munich ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Schmolcke first attended school in Aken an der Elbe and later in Bielefeld , where he passed the school leaving examination in 1955. He began his professional life as a trained electroplater and studied law, literature and history in Münster , Munich and Kiel . After the 1st state examination he was a trainee teacher in the service of the State of Schleswig-Holstein , after the 2nd state examination he was a study assessor in the state capital of Munich. From 1964 Schmolcke worked as a teacher, first at the municipal St. Anna grammar school and then at the municipal evening secondary school for working people. At this school he was in charge of the upper school courses as deputy director from 1968 and prepared them for the so-called “Abitur”.

Schmolcke was a member of the education and science union and the state executive committee of the SPD. From 1970 to 1986 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
