Joan Perry

Joan Perry (* 7. July 1911 in Pensacola , Florida as Elizabeth Miller Rosi country ; † 16th September 1996 in Montecito , California ) was an American actress .

Life

In 1935, Elizabeth Miller went to Hollywood and signed with Columbia Pictures . There she appeared in several films and worked with Ralph Bellamy , Melvyn Douglas and Lew Ayres , among others . Eventually she caught the eye of studio mogul Harry Cohn, who wanted Perry to be his wife. After Columbia, Joan went to Warner Brothers , where she appeared in a handful of films. On July 31, 1941, she married Harry Cohn , studio boss at Columbia Pictures. Then she retired from the film business. After Cohn's death in 1958, she married Harry Karl the following year, but the marriage ended in divorce after a few months. In her third marriage, she was married to Laurence Harvey between 1968 and 1972 .
