Jobst von Galen (* in the 16th century; † July 6, 1575 ) was canon in Hildesheim , Mainz and Münster .
Life
Jobst von Galen came from the Westphalian noble family von Galen , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was the son of Jobst von Galen zu Galen and Dinker and his wife Elseke Hake zu Potzlar. The Cathedral Chapter Munster received on 24 July 1569 by the Bishop of Hildesheim command Jobst be regarded as emancipated and treat. In the same year he received his prelude and was canon in Hildesheim and Mainz .
