Jochen von Lang

Jochen von Lang , actually Joachim von Lang-Piechock (* 1925 in Altlandsberg ; † November 2, 2003 ) was a German journalist and author.

Live and act

Lang began working as a freelance journalist after the end of World War II . Since the 1960s he has worked as an editor for magazines such as Stern and as an author for documentaries for public television and radio.

The better-known documentary series that Lang produced for the public broadcasters include War of the Bombers , The Last 100 Days , The Murderers Are Like You and Me and eyewitnesses report . Among his radio productions, the interrogation of Adolf Eichmann stands out, for which he was awarded the DAG television prize.

Since the 1960s, Lang has also published a number of books on contemporary history, particularly the Nazi era and the GDR, including biographies on Martin Bormann , Erich Mielke , Baldur von Schirach and Karl Wolff .
