Joseph Scott Durant (born April 7, 1964 in Pensacola , Florida ) is an American professional golfer of the PGA TOUR .
After attending Huntingdon College , Durant became a professional golfer in 1987 and played for years on the second-ranked Ben Hogan Tour before he was able to establish himself permanently on the major PGA Tour from the 1997 season .
So far he has four wins there, and in 2001 he was able to set the PGA Tour record for 72 holes when he won the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic with 29 strokes under par. With 14th place in the final money list , Durant also achieved its best ranking that season.
Since April 2014, Durant has also been eligible to play on the Champions Tour .
Joe Durant is married to his wife, Tracey, and lives in Molino , Florida .
