Billy Andrade (born January 25, 1964 in Bristol , Rhode Island ) is an American professional golfer of the PGA TOUR .

He attended Wake Forest University , played on the US Walker Cup team in 1987 and became a professional golfer in the same year .

On the PGA TOUR , Andrade won his first two tournaments in 1991, followed by two more titles in 1998 and 2000.

He has been eligible to play on the Champions Tour since 2014 and has since won three tournaments, including the prestigious final tournament, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship .

Private activity

He and his golf colleague Brad Faxon are very active in the charity sector and have received numerous awards. The Billy Andrade / Brad Faxon Charities for Children, Inc. has provided over $ 3 million to help children in need in Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts . Every year in June, a golf tournament, the CVS Charity Classic , takes place in the Rhode Island Country Club for the benefit of this foundation .

Billy Andrade lives with his wife Jody and their two children Cameron and Grace alternately in Augusta , Georgia and in his birthplace Bristol , Rhode Island .
