Joseph "Joe" Kinloch (January 1864 ; † unknown) was a Scottish football player .

Career

Kinloch was active in the 1891/92 season for FC St. Mirren in the Scottish Football League . In his six league appearances he scored one goal - the 3-2 winner against Third Lanark . In his only appearance in the Scottish FA Cup , he was a successful scorer and scored the 1-0 opening goal against eventual cup winners Celtic Glasgow (final score 2: 4). In October 1892 he moved to Manchester in the north of England to Newton Heath in the Football League First Division .

There he came after an appearance in the reserve team on October 29, 1892 in an away game against Nottingham Forest to his first division debut. Called up the deficit of his team as a center forward , he swapped positions with the regular center forward Bob Donaldson , who until then had played on the left wing. The Athletic News until then judged his performance: "Kinloch was barely smart enough for McPherson (Note: opposing middle runner )." In his new position, Kinloch prepared Alf Farman's equalizer , the 1-1 draw was one of only three Earning points for Newton Heath abroad this season.

The game was Kinloch's only appearance for the first team, for the reserve team he came to the end of the season, mostly again on the right winger, in at least six games, including some games in the Lancashire Combination . After his departure at the end of the season, he no longer appeared in higher-class football.
