Joe Löhrmann

Johannes "Joe" Löhrmann (born May 15, 1983 in Hanover ) is a German pianist , composer and street musician . He received media attention through his project My Traveling Piano , which he launched in 2009.

Löhrmann started playing the piano at the age of four. After graduating from high school in 2002 and completing business training at BMW, he studied tourism management in Bremen. During this time he played part-time as a bar pianist on several continents. a. in hotels, at events, trade fairs and cruise ships. Since 2012 he has been working full-time on the project My Traveling Piano : With his specially converted piano on rollers, Löhrmann travels Germany and various European countries, giving piano concerts in the open air. His repertoire includes pop songs interpreted on the piano, film music and his own compositions. In August 2014 Löhrmann took to the stage at the Eutin Festival together with the well-known Hamburg jazz pianist Joja Wendt .
