childhood and education

Launchbury played for Exmouth RFC in his youth and moved to the Wasps Academy in 2009.

Career

society

Launchbury first appeared in the 2010/11 season for the Wasps in the English Premiership . In 2013 he was voted the best young professional in the league. He has been the captain of the Wasps since the 2016/17 season.

National team

Launchbury made his national team debut in November 2012 against Fiji . He made his first attempt the following year against Argentina . He was nominated for the 2015 World Cup and was used in three preliminary round matches. In 2016 he won the Grand Slam at the Six Nations with England . In 2019 he was nominated for his second world championship .
