Joe Lisi

Joe Lisi (born September 9, 1950 in New York City , United States ), also known as Joe Lissi , is an American television actor. A wider audience, he is best known for his role as Lieutenant Swersky in Third Watch (68 episodes, 1999-2005). He was also seen in the role of Dick Barone in The Sopranos (3 episodes, 1999-2000) and as Craig Lennon in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (4 episodes, 1999-2009). In the film Jerky Boys: The Movie (1995) he made a brief appearance as a construction worker.

life and career

Lisi was born and raised in New York City on September 9, 1950. He was with the New York City Police Department for 24 years and ended up holding the rank of captain. During this time he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1969, where he was honorably discharged as a corporal .

Lisi took his first acting lessons at the age of 29, but did not make his Broadway debut until he was 52 in the play Take Me Out .
