Joe Matt
Joe Matt (born September 3, 1963 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American cartoonist .
Life
Matt studied at the Philadelphia College of Art , worked in a broom factory, as a colorist for other comics and since 1987 as a freelance comic book writer. Matt became best known for his autobiographical peep show comics, in which he examined the social, religious and sexual behavior of modern society. Matt is friends with comic artists Seth and Chester Brown , who also play a role in his work, which appears (in English) on Drawn and Quarterly . Peepshow has been nominated four times for the Harvey Awards . From 1988 to 2002 Matt lived (illegally) in Canada; today he lives in Los Angeles .
