Joe Sciacca

Joe Sciacca (born July 19, 1976 in Zurich ) is an Italian-Swiss singer , songwriter , guitarist and producer . He is the founder of the independent record label SpareTracks and performs solo and as a session guitarist in other bands.

Life

Sciacca took singing lessons while at school. In 1991 he started playing the guitar. After his first musical steps, he appeared as a jam guitarist in the Zurich music scene. Concerts with different bands followed. First little notoriety came with the metal band Tanelorn, who played as local support for well-known bands such as Savatage , Blind Guardian , Survivor .

In 2002 Sciacca left the band to pursue a path as a solo artist. He founded the SpareTracks label and produced an album. In 2007 he released his first own album Brand New Day with Ralf Gustke (drummer), Marc Ebermann (bassist) and Lothar Kosse (guitarist). The album was produced by Matthias Heimlicher.

In 2007 and 2008 he appeared in clubs and at festivals as session lead guitarist for Larry Norman and Warnnambool, among others .

In 2009 he produced two music videos for the singles Everybody's Trying and What You Do To Me (feat. Dania König) .

In 2015 he produced the first single, Back to the Start, from the later album Heart in a Cage , Sciacca's first piano composition. In 2017 he released the single Beyond Dreams and the album Heart in a Cage , a concept album about the longing for salvation from the human condition. The album was largely produced by Joe Sciacca himself. The album featured Kenny Aronoff (drums), Tim Pierce (guitars on the Change track ), Lothar Kosse (guitars on Forever ), Heiko Freund (guitars on the Tonight The Stars track ).
