Joe Symonds

Joe Symonds (* 28. December 1894 in Plymouth , England ; † 4. March 1953 ) was a British boxer in the flyweight .

Professional career

In 1910 he began his professional career successfully. On May 15, 1914 he boxed against Percy Jones for the universal world championship and won by giving up in round 18. He lost this belt on November 16 of the same year to Jimmy Wilde on points.

In January 1915, however, he won this title again and held it until October 18 of the same year.

In 1924 he ended his career.
