Joe Thomas (saxophonist, 1902)
Joseph "Joe" "Cornbread" Thomas , also Joe Thomas, (born December 3, 1902 in New Orleans ; † February 18, 1981 ibid) was an American clarinetist, saxophonist and vocalist of New Orleans jazz .
Joe Thomas played with Jelly Roll Morton (saxophone there) and later in the New Orleans Revival and various bands such as that of Papa French (e.g. on A Night at Dixieland Hall in 1965), in the Living Legends Band of British drummer Barry Martyn and of the New Orleans Jazz Band by Peter Nissen .
Sometimes he appeared as Brother Cornbread .
He should not be confused with Joe Thomas (saxophonist, 1909) and Joe Thomas (trumpeter) .
