Joel Kane

Joel Kane (born May 20, 1921 in Los Angeles County , California , † April 20, 1993 in Melbourne , Victoria ) was an American screenwriter .

Life

Kane appeared as a screenwriter from the mid-1950s and worked primarily for various television series. From 1959 to 1963 he was bpsw. involved in the story development of the series The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis . In total, his oeuvre includes more than 35 productions, the last time he appeared in 1987.

For work on the screenplay for Stern des Gesetz , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Original Screenplay in 1958 together with Dudley Nichols and Barney Slater .
