Barney Slater
Barney Slater (born January 21, 1923 in Gastonia , North Carolina , † November 29, 1978 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter .
Life
Starting with It Grows on Trees , Slater appeared as a screenwriter since 1952. His main focus was on various television series, u. a. Lost between strange worlds and several western series. He has been involved in more than 35 film and television productions.
For work on the screenplay for Stern des Gesetz , he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Original Screenplay in 1958 together with Dudley Nichols and Joel Kane .
Slater died in 1978 in a car accident in which the perpetrator fled.
