Joerg Weber

Joerg Weber (* 1950 in Augsburg ) is an Austro-German architect and university professor. His main focus is on urban planning and public construction.

Life

Weber grew up in Hall in Tirol . He studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and at the University of California at Berkeley. As a young architect he worked for Franz Riepl in Munich and in the MLTW (Moore Lyndon Turnbull Withaker) office in San Francisco.

Since 1981 he has been running an architecture office in Munich together with Maya Reiner. Maya Reiner + Joerg Weber Architects and Urban Planners, Munich became known to the public when their urban planning design was used as the basis for the construction of the new Messestadt Riem in Munich in 1996. From 2000 to 2016, Joerg Weber taught as a professor for design, urban planning and building theory at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich .
