Johan Johannes Lund Olsen (born April 13, 1958 in Copenhagen ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Inuit Ataqatigiit ).

Life

Johan Lund Olsen studied at the Viborg Katedralskole from 1975 to 1978 and then worked as a social advisor at Den Sociale Højskole in Aarhus from 1980 to 1983 . After that he was a social worker in Copenhagen until 1987, then a college inspector in Sisimiut , from 1989 head of the criminal prevention department in Greenland and from 1993 to 1999 rector of the social counseling training center at the University of Greenland . From 2007 to 2009 he was Secretary of the Greenlandic Union Sulinermik Inuussutissarsiuteqartut Kattuffiat (SIK).

Johan Lund Olsen was a member of the Sisimiut municipality council from 1989 to 1993 . He was first elected to Inatsisartut in 1991 and stayed in parliament until 2009. In 1999 he was briefly President of Parliament. From 2000 to 2003 he was a member of the Greenland Self-Government Commission. In 2003 he was briefly Minister for Infrastructure, Housing and Environment and then until 2006 Minister for Acquisition, Agriculture and Labor Market. From 2006 to 2008 he was a member of the Greenland-Danish self-government commission. Between 2013 and 2015 he represented Sara Olsvig in the Folketing several times . He has been Head of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Commission since 2017.

Since June 21, 2015, he has been the bearer of the Nersornaat in gold and the Order of Dannebrog .

family

Johan Lund Olsen is the son of the teachers Louis and Ane Olsen. He is married to Margrethe Kruse Jensen and has three children with her, Ilannguaq, Najaaraq and Kira. His sister is the politician Martha Lund Olsen .
