Johan Schloemann

Johan Schloemann (born June 2, 1971 in Bochum ) is a German cultural journalist . Since 2004 he has been working as an editor in the features section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung .

Life

Johan Schloemann studied classical philology and philosophy in Freiburg, Copenhagen and Berlin. He received his doctorate in 2001 with a dissertation on Greek rhetoric at the Philosophical Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin . He was a visiting fellow at the School of Advanced Study at the University of London , worked as an editor for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Berlin and as a consultant for public relations . Since 2004 he has been responsible for the humanities and debates in the features section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung . In the video column Schloemanns Auslese on Sueddeutsche.de he reviews nonfiction books and novels.

Schloemann lives in Munich. He regularly moderates discussion series at the Historisches Kolleg .
