Johann Adolf von Loe zu Wissen (* around 1719 ; † June 25, 1786 ) was canon in Münster and Liège .

Life

Johann Adolf von Loe zu Wissen was the son of Johann Adolf von Loe zu Wissen (1687–1743) and his wife Maria Anna Catharina von Wachtendonk zu Germenseel, daughter of Hermann Adrian von Wachtendonk . His brother Franz Karl (1720–1795) was canon in Münster and Jülich state court master. His sister Maria Anna Catharina Ludowica was married to Carl Franz von Nesselrode. They were the parents of Karl Franz von Nesselrode . Johann Adolf was the uncle of Canon Johann Adolf . With the resignation of his brother Franz Karl, Johann Adolf came into possession of a cathedral canonical in Münster in 1747 and was sworn in the same year . The Elector Clemens August appointed him cathedral sexton in Münster in 1760. In Liège he became canon on April 14, 1763. In 1780 he renounced his Münster prebend in favor of his nephew Johann Adolf. He suffered a stroke in 1785 and died on June 25, 1786 at the family residence in Wissen .
