Johann August Beck

Johann August Beck († June 19, 1815 in Dresden ) was mayor and city judge in the Saxon residence city of Dresden.

He was born in the Electoral Saxon town of Jüterbog as the eldest son of the judicial officer Johann Georg Beck, who later moved with his family to Dresden and died there on February 16, 1778.

He took over the mayor's office, which he held until his death, in 1813.

He left behind the four sons Gustav, Ernst Moritz, Julius and Herrmann Beck, whose guardian was the new Dresden mayor Carl Christian Pohland .
